SHERRY KRAMER - Continental Development Corporation

Hired in 2006, Sherry Kramer has been the Community Affairs Director for Continental Development Corporation, a commercial real estate business which also includes hotel, retail and medical properties. Prior to her current position, Sherry worked for the Manhattan Beach Unified School District as their business liaison. This is where she met Mr. Richard Lundquist, owner of Continental Development Corporation and pursued and created a position that would combine both civic and philanthropic outreach throughout the South Bay Community. She has also been involved in marketing efforts for Plaza El Segundo. Sherry feels very fortunate to work in an environment whereby she can fulfill her passion to be involved and give back.
Sherry is involved in several area Chambers of Commerce and on their boards in El Segundo, Manhattan Beach and Palos Verdes. Her areas of focus include Legislative and Education Committees. Her involvement in numerous philanthropic organizations include, South Bay Police and Fire Memorial Foundation, Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation Board, Friends of the South Bay Youth Project, Torrance Education Foundation, El Segundo Educational Foundation and she will be named to the Board of Trustees for Torrance Memorial Medical Center on May 26.
She is truly dedicated to the community.
ROGER VAN REMMEN - Brown, Van Remmen, Kanuit

A native of Manhattan Beach and a well-rounded civic leader. Roger graduated from the University of Southern California.
He started his career in advertising working for BBDO Advertising in the mailroom. Roger worked his way out of the mail room to a position in account management helping run the Western Airlines account. After 6 years at BBDO, the senior management team of Dailey & Associates Advertising convinced Roger to join them and help expand the agency. At Dailey, he rose from Account Executive to Senior Vice President and served as Chairman of the Operations Committee, responsible for day-to-day management of the organization. After Dailey Roger joined Teradata, $300-million international technology company, as their Director of Marketing Communications.
In 1991 he joined the executive search firm of Brown Bernardy as a partner and was reunited with the two people that hired and trained Roger at BBDO. The company then specialized in advertising and marketing. Today Roger is President of the company which is now called Brown, Van Remmen, Kanuit. Cathie Kanuit has joined Roger and they have grown the company into one the leading search firms in Southern California that specializes in marketing, advertising, media publishing, general management and non-profit. Roger is actively involved in the marketing and advertising community and serves on the executive board of directors for ThinkLA (the Los Angeles advertising association).
Philanthropic support is one of Roger and his wife Barbara’s priorities in life. He, Barbara and daughter Nicole have invested endless hours into Richstone Family Center. Roger has served as President of the Board of Directors twice. In addition another charitable cause that is close to Roger’s heart is the Vincent Educational Trust Fund in Maui. Named after his grandparents he helped create this fund to support young adults who do not have the financial resources to attain a college education. American Martyrs Church in Manhattan Beach is another humanitarian cause that you will find Roger volunteering his efforts.
Roger and Barbara love to travel the world and get exposed to the many different civilizations. In addition he has a passion for golf and running and just having a good time!
